Purchasing Specialist Job Description
Are you a seasoned procurement professional looking for a challenging role in industrial or manufacturing environments? We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Specialist to join our team.
* Key Responsibilities:
Create and manage RFQs (Requests for Quotation) in Jaggaer, ensuring timely completion and follow-up with suppliers.
Obtain and compare quotes from various suppliers, negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery schedules.
Source new suppliers and maintain relationships with existing ones, ensuring seamless inventory management and supply chain optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal counsel, sales, planning, production, HSE, and quality, to drive commercial strategies and meet business objectives.
Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies, analyzing market trends and supply risks to proactively propose mitigation actions.
Participate in supplier development and cost reduction initiatives, driving continuous improvement in procurement processes and tools.
Work Conditions:
Office-based, with occasional travel required for supplier and global team meetings.
Requirements:
Education: Degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Experience: 3-7 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Desired Knowledge:
Sourcing strategy development and implementation.
Supplier negotiation and relationship management.
Understanding of mechanical designs and industrial/mining equipment.
Advanced SAP (Purchasing Modules), intermediate MS Office.
Specialization in supply chain management.
Experience with global and cross-functional teams.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Customer-focused mindset.
Effective communication and stakeholder management.
Proficiency in MS Project, SAP, Power BI.
Advanced English (written and spoken).
