Social Worker - Senior (Domestic and Family Violence), HP4, Social Work Department, Bundaberg Hospital - H2512WB672623

Bundaberg Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Social Worker to provide specialist Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) services within our Social Work Department. This is a meaningful opportunity to support vulnerable individuals and families while contributing to a safer, healthier community.

Your Opportunity:

* The Senior Social Worker, Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) is a senior role designed to support the integration of the DFV reform agenda through the commitment to attending the Domestic Violence Cross Agency Monitoring (DVCAM) meetings. This role is designed to support the Domestic and Family Violence workforce program in provision of training and education as well as promoting excellence across the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) in DFV.
* Lead community and WBHHS engagement activities and support local needs inclusive of training, health promotion and clinical education in the area of DFV that result in enhanced patient and community outcomes for those who are experiencing or at risk of DFV.

What we're looking for:

Clinical Expertise

* Demonstrated high level of understanding of the health environment in which clinical decisions will be made.
* Demonstrated high level knowledge of Social Work practice theories, social legislation, and policies.
* Demonstrate high level of understanding, knowledge and clinical skills in contemporary Social Work practice, with a focus on DFV inclusive of assessment, intervention and planning of complex legal and psychosocial casework and applying a high degree of autonomy and independent professional judgement.
* Demonstrate high level knowledge of DFV and health legislation to inform integrated responses and develop education and training to support capability development of all staff.

Communication

* Demonstrated high level ability to work effectively with members of other disciplines and agencies. Represent the Wide Bay HS as a complex organisation and liaise with community agencies and Participate as an active member in the Wide Bay DV CAM (Cross Agency Monitoring).
* Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, and a co-operative approach.
* High level of facilitation of training and community engagement/public activities that lead to improved patient and community outcomes for those at risk of or experiencing DFV.

Clinical Ability

* Demonstrated ability to assess and respond in a professional manner to complex issues for patients, their families and carers across health settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Mandatory possession of a recognised degree in Social Work, and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Eligibility is dependent on the candidate having completed a University level Social Work degree accredited by the AASW and that the candidate does not have any other outstanding professional competency or ethical issues or complaints known to the AASW which may preclude membership.
* Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a "certification of eligibility" letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership. Overseas qualified applicants should include such evidence with their application to be considered for short-listing in the selection process.
* Postgraduate qualifications and/or education are highly desirable.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $78,680 p.a., comprising salary between $ $69.56 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Part Time, 38 hours p.f.)
