About the Team: We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer – SAP to provide deep technical expertise across our SAP ecosystem and drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality enterprise solutions. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering excellence, and business enablement, partnering with product owners, architects, and delivery teams to modernise SAP platforms and integrate them with enterprise digital capabilities. Do work that matters The Deposits, Pricing & Governance Crew is part of Everyday Banking. We build and operate the bank’s foundational deposits and pricing capabilities and the governance controls that keep our platforms safe and compliant. Our work spans API platforms, real-time eventing, pricing services, integration with core systems, resilience and observability. To be successful in this role, some of the broad roles and responsibilities may include: Deep Knowledge of Core Banking systems and experience with SAP Transactional Banking Services including functional and technical aspects Provide technical/functional leadership to shape architecture and design decisions impacting enterprise SAP systems. Ability to independently design and deliver end-to-end solutions. Extensive experience in designing and deploying scalable, high-performance banking technology solutions. Proficient in one or more of the following: SAP Deposits Management, Master Contract Management, Loans Management. Proficient in Contract Management Framework, Product management, Pricing Modules, Payments, Settlement & accrual Process, Correspondence Modules, End of Day processes. Understanding the downstream and cross-module impact of any change deployed in SAP Knowledge of SAP Git, GitHub, branching strategies and version control processes Knowledge in ABAP development using Eclipse IDE and associated tooling Optional but advantageous: AWS, service domains, SOR adapter frameworks. We’re interested in hearing from people who possess the following: SAP Banking experience, particularly in deposits and pricing domains. API platforms and strong API design (OpenAPI), with a bias for contract first and reuse. AWS and cloud native architectures for scalability, reliability and cost effectiveness. Kafka (or equivalent event streaming) for real time messaging and integration.
