Overview
Our client is a proudly Australian owned and operated FMCG business, recognised as a leader in their industry. They are seeking a Project Engineer to join their team based in regional Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the planning and execution of several major capital projects over the coming years. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Engineer will play a key role in delivering capital projects from concept through to commissioning and handover.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating project timelines, installation, commissioning, and final handover
- Managing project implementation with a solid focus on safety for people, product, and plant
- Supporting contractor management and site activities
- Driving innovation to optimise processes and increase efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with documentation, processes, and regulatory standards
- Handling technical queries and liaising with both internal teams and external partners
- Collaborating with R&D;, maintenance, quality assurance, and other cross functional teams
Your Background
- Previous experience working on capital projects ideally within the Food or FMCG sector
- A practical understanding of manufacturing environments and project delivery
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- The ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
