We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Manager to lead the financial operations in our fast-growing Digital Health Solutions organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to support decision-making in a digital-first, compliance-focused healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial models.
- Monitor financial performance and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Support strategic planning with scenario modelling and ROI analysis for new digital health services or platform investments.
- Assist with preparing journals, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management reports.
Accounting & Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, half-year and year-end financial reports.
- Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, and revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP or IFRS standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Assist in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with ASX Listing Rules and Corporations Act.
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements.
- Oversee payroll tax obligations, superannuation payments, and other employee-related tax reporting.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors regarding tax matters, compliance audits, and reviews.
Cost Management & Operational Support:
- Analyse operating costs, technology investments, and vendor contracts to improve financial efficiency.
- Support pricing models for rebate and discount plans.
Team & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with department heads (Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing) to align budgets with business goals.
- Provide financial guidance for expansion into new regions, partnerships, or technology launches.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- CA, CPA
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably within healthcare or digital health
- Experience with digital health model, or managed care is a solid plus but not required.
- Experience in managing a team of finance professionals.
Skills:
- Proficient in financial software (e.g., XERO, Power BI,) and Excel/Google Sheets. Experience with XERO welcomed.
- Strong analytical, communication analysis, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
