We are seeking a qualified Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health School Readiness Funding team.
Job Description:
* Provide support and guidance to kindergarten educators and families to build their capacity in supporting children's communication skills.
* Deliver coaching, modeling, group training, case consultations, and other discipline-specific services to promote effective communication strategies.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists to provide high-quality services.
* Manage a caseload and effectively communicate with stakeholders to maximize service coordination and cooperation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Purposefully engage kindergarten educators to identify and support the skill development of children as they prepare for school.
* Provide secondary consultation to kindergartens through coaching across various platforms.
* Undertake discipline-specific tasks, such as providing information on expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language development, speech sound development, engagement in book sharing, and early literacy activities.
* Work collaboratively with other disciplines within the team to deliver a comprehensive service.
* Effectively manage a caseload and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements:
* A graduate or post-graduate degree in Speech Pathology.
* Experience working in paediatric allied health, preferably in kindergarten settings.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team to develop and implement evidence-based programs.
* An openness to working in a capability-building and coaching role with educators and families.
