Overview Through proprietary software and AI, Sleek makes the back-office easy for micro SMEs. We help Entrepreneurs focus on growing their business and serving customers. Sleek operates 3 business segments: Corporate Secretary, Accounting & Bookkeeping, and FinTech payments. Sleek launched in 2017 and serves customers across Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and the UK with a growing team and recent Series B funding. We are looking for a Head of Operations who will lead the team, drive service delivery, transform processes, ensure compliance, and improve profitability. This role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to scale a regulated, tech-enabled business. Mission The Head of Operations leads the team to deliver high-quality service, drive process transformation, ensure compliance, and achieve profitability. They ensure team competency and client satisfaction through timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables. Outcomes Leadership & Team Development: Oversee structured training, coaching, and leadership across accounting, tax, and payroll teams; collaborate with department heads and SMEs to ensure effective operations and full compliance. Build a high-performing, client-centric culture with accountability, efficiency, and quality delivery. Capacity planning, hiring, and onboarding to maintain service capacity and excellence. Service Delivery & Compliance: Own client work delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to SLAs; ensure SOPs comply with ASIC and ATO requirements for companies and trusts; safeguard clients against regulatory risk. Operational Excellence & Profitability: Monitor and improve team performance, processes, and workflows to boost productivity and gross profitability; take swift corrective actions to maintain client confidence and relationships; partner with leadership to set and achieve operational and financial targets for Sleek Australia. Process & Technology Enablement: Contribute to product enhancements by feeding back insights; identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and digital tools; standardise processes and reporting frameworks for consistency in client delivery. Strategic Contribution: Be a key member of the leadership team, contribute to business strategy, service development, and client experience improvements; anticipate regulatory shifts and adapt Sleek’s capabilities accordingly; act as an ambassador of Sleek’s mission. Requirements Recognised degree in business, management, operations, or a related field (accounting background is a plus but not mandatory). 10 years of proven leadership in operations management, with experience scaling teams, systems, and service delivery in complex environments. Extensive people leadership experience, ideally managing large or cross-functional teams; strong coaching, motivation, and accountability skills. Deep operational expertise to design and implement processes ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across multiple teams. Experience in regulated/compliance-focused environments with ability to coordinate subject matter experts to ensure adherence. Tech-enabled operator comfortable with productivity software and AI tools to streamline workflows, reporting, and performance management. Strategic, resilient problem-solver who is highly organized and detail-oriented; excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement and meeting deadlines. Structured Thinking: Ability to navigate a complex, multi-country business and balance needs of the organization, team and customers. Interview process The successful candidate will participate in the following interview stages (order may vary): case study, career deep dive, behavioural fit assessment, and offer with reference checks. The process is expected to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish. Interviews may be via video or in person depending on location.
