Job Description

About the Role

As a Job Coach at MADEC, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping participants overcome barriers and achieve meaningful, sustained employment.

You’ll work with people facing a variety of life challenges that may impact their ability to secure work. Through your support, guidance, and encouragement, participants build confidence, develop skills that improve life outcomes and take steps toward long-term employment. This is a full-time opportunity to join our Horsham team.

Your day-to-day will involve:

* Developing career pathways using SMART goal setting
* Connecting participants with training, support services, and community resources
* Guiding participants through resume writing, cover letters, interview preparation, and job applications
* Providing financial support through our Employment Fund when eligible
* Coaching, motivating, and empowering participants to achieve their employment goals

No prior industry experience? No problem, we provide full training. What matters most are your attributes, mindset, and commitment to making a difference.

* Strong communication and coaching skills – able to listen, motivate, and guide participants effectively
* Strong people skills – including the confidence to guide conversations, resolve issues calmly, and help participants stay on track
* Problem-solving and creativity – finding practical solutions and linking participants to the right resources
* Organisation and time management – managing your caseload, scheduling appointments, and tracking progress

You don’t need formal employment services experience. Many people from backgrounds such as retail and hospitality, administration, education and training, and customer service roles across a variety of sectors have thrived in this role, what matters most are your people skills, adaptability, and resilience.
