This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure projects across South East Queensland, spanning water, sewer, gas, civil and electrical sectors.
This role offers a strong balance between office and site work, with roughly one day per week spent on-site ensuring delivery excellence.
You'll be part of a dedicated team that values technical excellence, continuous improvement, and strong project outcomes.
The Role:You'll oversee projects that include the construction and rehabilitation of reservoirs, installation of pipelines, building pump stations, and managing underground utility works.
You'll drive project outcomes from tendering through to delivery, helping shape critical infrastructure that benefits local communities.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and deliver infrastructure projects in line with client specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Identify project risks and opportunities, and provide innovative, cost-effective construction solutions.
Prepare and review subcontractor packages, variations, and claims.
Monitor project financials including approving invoices, cost tracking, and forecasting.
Ensure quality assurance processes are adhered to, completing and maintaining all necessary documentation.
Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical and commercial matters.
Support tender preparation activities and contribute to submissions.
Champion health, safety, and environmental best practices across all project stages.
Mentor junior engineers and help foster a strong, safety-first culture on-site and in the office.
About You: 5-7 years' experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer in civil construction, utilities, or water infrastructure projects.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia or similar professional body).
Current Construction Induction Card (White Card) and valid driver's licence.
Strong understanding of construction delivery in a multidisciplinary environment.
Skilled in budget management, estimating, and financial reporting.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Solid grasp of quality, safety, and environmental standards in the construction sector.
