About the Role
Bundiyarra Aboriginal Community is seeking an experienced leader to join their team at the newly funded Bundiyarra Aboriginal Early Learning Centre in Geraldton. The successful candidate will promote local involvement by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and community members to ensure decisions and planning for cultural and educational integration are consultative and effective.
The role involves working closely with staff and management to ensure community engagement and support for enrolled children. It requires a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework, as well as excellent leadership skills to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic direction to educators and staff
* Design and implement curriculum programs that cater to diverse learning needs
* Foster relationships with families and the community through regular communication and feedback
* Manage administrative tasks, including budgets and enrolments, to ensure efficient service delivery
* Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are met

Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent experience
* Proven leadership experience in a childcare setting
* Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Current First Aid, CPR, and other certifications, or ability to obtain
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
