Injury Management Support Officer Location: Greensborough, VIC Contract: Short-term (3 months) Pay Rate: $41–$47 per hour + super About the Role We are seeking an Injury Management Support Officer to join our Safety Wellbeing team.
Reporting to the Safety Wellbeing Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting injury management processes in line with the OHS Act **** and Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act **** .
This position involves managing sensitive information, providing accurate reporting, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities Lodge WorkCover claims and complete associated administration within legislative time frames.
Collaborate with the Injury Management Advisor to develop long-term injury prevention and return-to-work strategies.
Prepare tailored Return to Work Plans for both work-related and non-work-related injuries.
Liaise with insurance agents and manage weekly compensation reimbursements and indexation requests.
Undertake financial reconciliation of claims and contribute to reducing WorkCover premiums through strategic claims management.
Provide monthly injury statistics and incident summaries for reporting purposes.
Maintain Council's incident and injury database (currently Elumina) and ensure accurate claims data.
Manage non-WorkCover injury cases end-to-end and coordinate vendor setup and invoicing.
Attend Safety Wellbeing Committee meetings and contribute to injury prevention initiatives.
About You Experience in WorkCover claims management or strong HR administration skills in injury management.
Local government experience is desirable.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
