College Overview
Kambrya College is a co‐educational Government secondary school located in Berwick, Victoria, Australia. It serves approximately 2,500 students across Years7‐12 and offers a broad curriculum that culminates in a highly effective VCE program.
Selection Criteria
* SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills, and experience in responding to student learning needs.
* SC2: Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high‐impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student growth.
* SC3: Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice, and providing feedback on learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
* SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader community to support student wellbeing and engagement.
* SC5: Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve teaching quality.
Role
Classroom teachers are classified into two salary ranges (Range1 and Range2). The primary focus is on planning, preparing and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes. Teachers engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills, and as they gain experience, may take on additional duties beyond their rostered teaching responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
* Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school.
* Undertaking other classroom‐teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
* Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
* Undertaking other non‐teaching supervisory duties.
Who May Apply
Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the specified curriculum area(s).

Other Information
This is a fixed‐term position. Ongoing employees applying will need to negotiate a temporary transfer with their home school Principal.

All staff have access to a broad range of employment conditions and working arrangements. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory pre‐employment check. Qualification Requirements
* Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
* Full registration with an Australian postgraduate level initial teaching program completed on or after 1January2024, following accreditation guidelines.
* Graduation from a Victorian ITE program after 1July2016 must satisfy the LANTITE requirement.
