Albion Vet Surgery is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a Senior Veterinary Nurse, you will play a key leadership role within the nursing team, supporting both clinical operations and day-to-day clinic workflow. You will work closely with our veterinarians and nursing staff to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-level veterinary nursing care across all areas of the clinic
  • Lead and support junior nurses in their clinical development
  • Perform and oversee anaesthetic monitoring and surgical nursing
  • IV catheter placement, blood collection, and advanced patient care
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control and hospital cleanliness standards
  • Support client communication and education with professionalism and empathy
  • Assist in maintaining efficient clinic workflow and standards of care

About You

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (essential)
  • Significant experience in veterinary nursing, ideally with senior or leadership exposure
  • Confident in all aspects of anaesthesia monitoring and surgical support
  • Strong clinical skills including IV catheter placement and venipuncture
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lead by example and support a positive team culture
  • Calm, capable, and confident in a fast-paced environment
