The Role
We\'re growing and looking for a skilled Irrigation / Reticulation Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. You\'ll handle installations, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and upgrades of automatic irrigation (retic) systems across a mix of residential gardens, commercial landscapes, sports fields, and agricultural setups.
Responsibilities
* Installing and commissioning new reticulation systems (pipes, valves, sprinklers, drippers, controllers)
* Diagnosing and repairing faults, leaks, pressure issues, and electrical problems
* Programming and maintaining irrigation controllers
* Performing system audits, upgrades, and seasonal start-ups/shut-downs
* Working with pumps, filtration, and backflow prevention
* Ensuring installations meet Waterwise and local standards
* Providing excellent on-site customer service and advice
About You
To thrive in this role, you\'ll bring:
* Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician, Retic Fitter, or similar (minimum 2–3 years hands-on)
* Strong knowledge of two-wire (decoder) retic systems – highly regarded and a key advantage!
* Solid understanding of conventional multi-wire systems, hydraulics, basic electrical, and irrigation components
* Ability to read plans, use diagnostic tools, and troubleshoot efficiently
* Current WA driver\'s licence (manual preferred) and reliable transport
* White Card (Construction Induction) and any relevant tickets (e.g., confined space, working at heights) advantageous
* Physically fit for manual work (trenching, digging, lifting)
* Great attitude – reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or in a team
* Bonus: Certificate III in Irrigation Technology, Waterwise accreditation, or experience with major brands (Hunter, Rain Bird, Toro, etc.)
