This is a maternity relief position. If the permanent incumbent requires an early return from maternity leave, this contract will cease with two weeks' notice. Maternity relief positions can be for up to 12 months, with the possibility of a further 12 months for reduced hours. There are no claims to permanency for this role.
Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) seeks an experienced Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) to join our maternity services team. This role is specifically for an After Hours MUM, with responsibilities across the Maternity Service, including the Special Care Nursery. The MUM will lead in delivering safe, high-quality midwifery care and support a team of nursing and midwifery professionals.
Shift Pattern :
* Weekends: Morning and night shifts (12-hour shifts)
* Monday – Friday: Afternoon and night shifts (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts)
About the Role :
At Gosford Hospital, we offer comprehensive maternity services, including antenatal, labour, postnatal, birth care, community care, and special care nursery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated midwifery professional to assume a leadership role within a busy and respected maternity service.
About You :
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife (Division 1) with recent clinical experience and knowledge of current midwifery issues.
* Strong communication skills, teamwork experience, and a background in paediatric care.
* Proven leadership and management abilities, with experience coaching, leading, and supporting clinical teams.
