Store Person Role
The Store Person plays a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while upholding the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and customer service.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock deliveries with precision.
* Ensure stock is accurately stored, labeled, and rotated to optimize shelf life and accessibility.
* Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
* Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Pick, pack, and prepare customer and trade orders for collection or delivery.
* Coordinate freight and courier bookings to meet customer deadlines.
* Warehouse Organisation & Safety:
* Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment that meets ARB and WHS standards.
* Operate forklifts and manual handling equipment safely (where licensed/trained).
* Identify and mitigate hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
* Customer & Team Support:
* Provide assistance to sales staff in locating and supplying stock for customer inquiries.
* Deliver friendly, professional service when interacting with customers and suppliers.
* Collaborate with the sales and workshop teams to meet customer needs.
