Corin is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Clinical Research Engineer to join our Global Clinical Innovation team. Integration of digital clinical data across the patient journey is creating new opportunities to revolutionize patient treatment, clinical research, and augment decision making in orthopedics. This role will apply advanced data analytics and modeling to generate innovative clinical research and insights on Corin's hip arthroplasty technologies.
You will:
· Lead execution of clinical research projects, from project proposal, data cleaning, analysis, reporting and presentation to internal and external stakeholders
· Exploratory data analysis, regression modelling, statistical testing
· Contribute to modelling of spinopelvic mobility, Hip/knee dynamics and kinematics, patient outcomes and activity/exercises, economics, business analytics, and other multi-variable and multi-variate questions
· Lead clinical study management and communication with study sites, research coordinators and surgeons
· Gain an expert knowledge of hip and knee anatomy and arthroplasty procedures and technology used by Corin and throughout industry
· Collaborate with a team of talented data scientists, engineers, and product specialists
· Train and mentor interns and students to assist with performing radiological measurements and analyses
· Assist in regulatory clinical data requirements, collection, and reporting
· Assist in research database development and maintenance
· Assist in development and maintenance of Corin's analytic code repositories
To be successful, you will need:
· Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Engineering, Science, Data or Computer Science or similar
· Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar or relative role (PhD Graduates accepted)
· Experience with programming environments for data processing, manipulation, analysis, and graphing, such as R, Python, SPSS
· Experience in statistical modelling and statistical analysis, multivariate statistics, regression analysis, analysis of variance
· Ability to write research reports for publication in peer reviewed journals
· Ability to present research findings at local and international conferences
· Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
· Highly motivated to challenge historically accepted truths with data driven decision making
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
· Experience with image processing and manipulation software (ScanIP, Mimics), 3D CAD measurements (Solidworks)
· Knowledge of Azure web environment (Cosmos Database, Azure ML)
· Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL queries
· Experience in orthopaedics or other medical device industry
· Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning techniques
