**Automotive and Industrial Technical Lead**
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced technical lead to oversee the development of our automotive and industrial solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers in designing and implementing innovative products that meet the stringent requirements of the industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Leverage open-source innovation to drive precision engineering and deliver secure, reliable products to industrial and automotive partners.
* Represent Canonical and Ubuntu in the industrial and automotive community and standards consortia, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks such as IEC *****, ISO****, and Automotive specific ISO ***** UNECE R155 & R156, ISO***** ASIL (from B to D) or ASPICE.
* Collaborate with Product Management to refine the vision and strategy for automotive at Canonical and define an engineering roadmap for the automotive team.
Requirements
* A strong software engineering, Linux, and open-source background with knowledge of automotive and industry standards.
* Experience in C/C++ and Python programming, as well as practical experience in automotive, including functional safety, embedded systems, cloud, and related software trends.
* Proven track record of timely delivery and high-quality software, with experience leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring software developers.
