Key components of the role include effective communication skills, report-writing, networking and interpersonal skills that enable liaison with educators, parents and carers.
A high degree of autonomy is also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, consult, support and provide advice to improve teaching, learning and wellbeing strategies for students requiring support.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve goals and objectives.
* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including educators, parents and carers.
* Contribute to policy development and implementation that supports student support services.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Psi: Graduate or postgraduate qualification in psychology; registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.
* Occupational Therapist: Graduate or postgraduate qualification in occupational therapy; registration as an occupational therapist with AHPRA.
* Social Worker: Graduate or postgraduate degree in social work or equivalent; eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Speech Pathologist: Graduate or postgraduate degree in speech pathology; eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
