Role Purpose
The Network and Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performing network and cloud infrastructure for our retail and wholesale distribution operations. This role focuses on Microsoft Azure cloud services and Fortigate firewall solutions, ensuring robust connectivity, security, and operational efficiency across enterprise environments and will play a pivotal role in merging infrastructure from acquisitions into the broader MotorCycle Holdings environment
Key Responsibilities
Step into a high‑impact role where you'll design and deploy enterprise-grade network and Azure infrastructure, own Fortigate firewalls and SD‑WAN environments across multiple sites, and drive both rapid improvements and long-term strategic architecture.
You'll secure the network with robust policies, IDS/IPS, and best‑practice governance, automate deployments using Terraform and ARM, and keep our Azure environments running smoothly—from VNets and routing to VMs and storage.
As our Level 3 escalation point, you'll troubleshoot complex issues, support disaster recovery planning, manage infrastructure integrations, and collaborate closely with cybersecurity and technology partners to strengthen resilience. If you love solving problems, improving systems, and shaping the future state of infrastructure, this role puts you at the centre of it all.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in network engineering and cloud infrastructure.
* Hands-on expertise with Fortigate firewalls (configuration, troubleshooting, VPN setup) and FortiManager
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, networking, and security.
* Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).
* Understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), TCP/IP, and VPN technologies.
