Maintenance Leadership Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to lead our maintenance team on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and execute a preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
* Provide hands-on support by performing repairs and maintenance as required across the property.
* Supervise and manage key service areas including electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services, and approved contractor works.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety best practices at all times.
* Oversee stock control and supplier management to maintain efficient operations.
* Prepare quotes, schedule, and manage capital expenditure requests.
* Support the hotel manager in the recruitment and development of the maintenance department team.
Requirements:
* Previous hands-on facilities management experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
* Proven ability to manage and develop team members.
* Experience implementing a preventative maintenance program.
* Experience organizing, consulting, and negotiating with contractors.
* Sound MS Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and word documents).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with impeccable presentation.
* Availability to work Monday to Friday, with some on-call work on weekends.
* Building qualification will be highly regarded.
