About the Role
We're on the lookout for skilled Remote Area Nurses to fill a variety of primary health care locum contracts, ranging from 4 to 12 weeks. These positions give you the chance to provide essential healthcare services while experiencing the unique beauty and culture of remote Australian communities.

Your Day–to–Day
* Provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive primary healthcare to individuals and families in remote areas. Promote health education and preventative care within the community.
* Administer immunizations and other necessary treatments.
* Be part of a dedicated on‐call roster, providing emergency care when it's needed most.
* Work both independently and as part of a close‐knit healthcare team.
What You'll Need
* Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
* Minimum 5 years' experience as an RAN, or in Emergency/Primary Care in remote settings.
* REC (Remote Emergency Certification)
* MEC (Maternity Emergency Certification)
* Pharmacotherapeutics or RIPRN desirable.
* Immunisation provider certification and on‐call experience.
* Manual Driver's License & 4WD Certification.
* ISTAT competency with certification and access number.
* Advanced Life Support (ALS)
* Basic Life Support (BLS)

* Blood safe – collecting blood specimens
* Manual Handling
* Fire and Emergency Procedures
* Infection Control and Hand Hygiene
* Aggression Minimisation
* Clinical Deterioration Recognition and Management
* After-Hours Assessment and Communication for PHC Nurses and AHPs
* Early Sepsis Recognition and Management (via RAHC eLearning)
* Aseptic technique: theory and practical assessment
* Cultural security and safety specific to the Northern Territory
* Medication Safety Competencies – all modules
