The Business has had a good year of sustainable growth and is looking at a solid year to June FY2026. This is supported by a strong order book across a wide range of commodities. The Role As the Senior Accountant you will be part of a 4 person accounting team reporting into the Financial Controller and supporting him to manage a loyal team of junior accounting staff. The role will lead the consolidation process and requires strong influencing skills as you liaise with Finance and Operational leaders within the business. Key Responsibilities Responsible for coordinating the month-end process to deliver an accurate consolidated monthly management reporting pack with analyses of variances against budget Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for consolidating entities on a monthly basis. Contribute to the monthly management reporting pack, including cash flow, balance sheet, and working capital analysis. Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts in collaboration with respective departmental / project managers Preparation and lodgement of compliant full-year financial statements and managing the interim and annual audit process with external auditors Preparation of BAS, FBT returns and information for the Corporate tax return Required skills and experience Post-graduate qualification in accounting such as a CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent). Audit background highly regarded. 5 years’ experience in the accounting and/or mining services space with some management experience highly regarded High attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and trends Self-motivated and proactive with a collaborative working style Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships. Team player - contributes positively and delivers results on time at a high standard.
