- Generalist Role Overseeing Operational HR & Safety Requirements
- Permanent, Full-Time Role Based on Site at Brisbane Airport
**The Position**
The Human Resources Manager is a true generalist role and will be responsible for all people and safety activities across the operations space. This position is a key leadership role and will act a partner to support and guide in all areas related to people and culture, including end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, reward and recognition, employment relations and workplace health and safety. This position will be based full-time on site at the Brisbane Airport, offering free in office parking for all staff.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Development and implementation of people initiatives ensuring alignment with business strategy and operational requirements;
- Management of complex employment relations matters and industrial relations including enterprise bargaining negotiations;
- Drive employee engagement activities and construct ways to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and enhance retention;
- Plan and implement all company programs relevant to people and culture including training, performance appraisals and reward & recognition programs;
- Promote key diversity & inclusion objectives and guide the site leaders to ensure the cultural calendar is promoted;
- Develop and deliver operational and tactical plans for workplace health and safety and ensure regulatory HSE obligations are being met.
**Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations or related business discipline;
- Experience working in a blue-collar sector or a large multi-site business will come highly regarded;
- Demonstrated experience in a HR generalist position with some experience managing small teams;
- An enthusiastic and highly motivated individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same;
- Professional communication and strong leadership skills which can translate to all stakeholders on site;
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a confident and approachable coaching style.
