Our Wollongong Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice is a part of our ever-growing Bupa network of dental, optical and health insurance practices and stores!
Wollongong Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is well known for a variety of oral surgery procedures including removal of wisdom teeth, dental implants and oral medicine. We are a solid, stable team looking for an experienced Dental Assistant - Receptionist as we prepare for a significant growth in customer volumes.
The Opportunity:
We have a versatile, exciting and rewarding opportunity at our Wollongong Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice available for a dual role Dental Assistant - Receptionist seeking casual work.

- Prepare patients & facilities for dental treatment
- Deliver quality chairside assistance to our Dentists
- Treatment coordination
- Provide instrument sterilisation
- Maintain infection control standards and procedures
- Meet and greet patients, providing a great first impression
- Book and amend appointments, answering the phone, updating patient records
- Making patients aware of dental services and offers
- Handling payments
- Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality
- High-end patient care; building & maintaining relationships with all clients in a friendly & warm manner
You'll be:
- Ideally 1+ years’ experience working in a similar role
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded
- You're a motivated self-starter, this is a fast paced and dynamic role
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about customer service and patient care
- Organised with attention to detail
- Ability to build rapport with patients, in a cheerful, light-hearted manner
