Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic nursing leader to take on a key operational and clinical management role within our service. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating unit and service activities to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality and efficient patient care. Our facility operates 10 theatres, offering opportunities across anaesthetic nursing, scrub/scout roles, and recovery.
What you'll be doing
Leading a skilled nursing team within a multidisciplinary environment, you will foster a positive, collaborative culture and support continuous improvement across the service. Providing management and clinical leadership to the team/unit ensuring the provision of nursing and clinical care is safe and efficient, while maintaining standards of care that reflect current standards of nursing practices and Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.


About you
You are a motivated and confident nursing professional with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a strong background in operational and clinical management within a relevant healthcare setting.

You bring:

* High-level operational and clinical management knowledge, with the ability to effectively coordinate unit or service activities

* Proven experience managing human, physical and financial resources within a defined budget

* A demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a nursing team within a multidisciplinary environment

* Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, enabling you to build effective relationships at all levels

* Well-developed computer literacy and confidence using a range of computer applications

* A contemporary leadership style, underpinned by change management expertise and a sound understanding of current issues impacting the nursing profession

This is a Category A position. Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.
