About The Role
The Production Supervisor assists to lead a large and diverse team to provide day-to-day operations of the factory, fostering a performance-based work environment for all staff, with a focus on efficiency, safety and learning.
* Ensure all linen is processed in accordance with AS4146 and ISO 9001;
* Working in collaboration with other Production Supervisors at the site to ensure efficient, successful and safe operation of the factory and distribution of linen;
* Manage daily transport operations and provide supervision and direction to drivers;
* Regular inventory control and stocktake of customer sites;
* Oversight all machinery and equipment (including vehicles) to make sure they are kept fully maintained and functioning to the highest standard and coordinate with maintenance team to ensure that any faults or machinery breakdowns are reported and rectified in a timely manner to minimize downtime;
* Assist with regular process reviews of plant management, equipment and resources to deliver the highest levels of productivity, efficiency and service delivery;
* Work with Operations Manager and Leadership Team to develop, implement and maintain continuous improvement opportunities in team meetings at both site and state-wide level;
* Accurately record and report all production details as required (daily/weekly/monthly) for daily production sheets, time sheets and work employee rosters;
* Work with Operations Manager to develop rosters that provide an efficient and balanced workforce;
* Ensure compliance with the Blueline Safety Management Systems.
Key Requirements
* A high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism, with a good knowledge of Laundry or other Manufacturing Operations industries;
* Lean manufacturing experience is highly desirable;
* High level of written and verbal communication skills;
* Proven skills in conflict resolution and negotiation;
* The ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment;
* Ability to plan and manage work activities, often with competing deadlines, and be flexible and adaptable in changing plans to suit stakeholders and business needs;
* Experience in the process manufacturing, commercial production or similar industry at a supervisory level;
Desirable Qualifications
* Warehousing distribution and logistics are highly desirable;
* Hold a manual drivers licence, ideally with MR truck class and hold a Forklift Licence;
* Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook;
