Position Summary

The Floor Manager plays a key leadership role at Fino Seppeltsfield, responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and hospitality during all guest interactions. This individual will oversee daily floor operations, lead the front-of-house team, and maintain Fino's service standards, all while fostering a welcoming atmosphere. With a deep passion for exceptional dining experiences and a focus on team development, the Floor Manager ensures that each guest enjoys seamless, attentive service.

Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership

* Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
* Lead and mentor a team of wait staff, bartenders, and hosts, promoting a positive, professional, and supportive environment.
* Ensure that all guest requests and needs are met promptly, while maintaining the highest service standards.
* Coordinate with the kitchen and beverage team to ensure timely and smooth service during peak periods.
* Foster a positive guest experience, resolving issues and complaints with professionalism and tact.

Team Management & Training

* Lead by example with a focus on staff development and performance.
* Train and guide new team members, ensuring they have a deep understanding of Fino Seppeltsfield's philosophy, menu, and service standards.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to encourage team growth.
* Promote teamwork and cohesion, ensuring all front-of-house staff work together seamlessly to provide the best experience for guests.

Operational Management

* Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to monitor guest flow, optimize seating, and handle booking inquiries efficiently.
* Oversee table set-ups and ensure cleanliness and readiness of the dining room.
* Maintain front-of-house inventory, ensuring that necessary supplies and equipment are always available.
* Work with the Restaurant Manager to implement and oversee promotional events, special functions, and private dining experiences.

Compliance & Administration

* Ensure full compliance with RSA, licensing laws, health, and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, reservations, and any special requests or accommodations.
* Assist with staff rosters and scheduling, ensuring sufficient coverage for all service shifts.

Key Attributes

* Strong passion for hospitality, with an emphasis on guest satisfaction and team support.
* Proven experience in a leadership role in a hospitality setting, particularly in fine dining or regional establishments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with guests and staff alike.
* Organisational and multitasking ability to oversee a busy, high-volume dining environment.
* Calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure.
