Senior / Project Coordinator - Civil and Building Upgrades Projects

Great opportunity to join a Tier 2 contractor with an excellent presence in the defence, industrial, marine and commercial sectors with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects. A market‑leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior / Project Coordinator to join their growing business.

As Senior / Project Coordinator, you will need to have strong commercial acumen, contracts management, design management, OHS, programming and planning experience, as well as running meetings with consultants and subcontractors to provide a high‑quality service that ensures client expectations are met and exceeded.

They work across refurbishments, repairs, remediation, demolition, upgrades, HVAC, etc. on buildings and civil works as well. Projects range from smaller works up to $20m+. Projects are generally industrial, defence or commercial in nature; experience with similar projects in these sectors or across buildings and infrastructure will be an advantage.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Project delivery from inception through to completion
* Ensure construction programmes are followed and deliver on project quality to programme
* Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required
* Manage project expenditure and cash flow
* Management and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projects
* Design management
* Manage subcontractors on site
* Manage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the project
* Produce progress reports
* Deliver and manage client expectations


Qualifications and Requirements:

* Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or similar
* Minimum 2 years+ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish, ideally with experience in civil, buildings, marine or utilities
* Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
* Strong planning and project financial reporting skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Well‑developed interpersonal skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office suite
* Construction Safety Induction (white) card
