Ingham Toyota Branch Manager
Ingham, QLD | Full-time | Competitive Remuneration
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a rare chance to step into the role of Branch Manager of Ingham Toyota; a proud dealership within the well-established Mike Carney Group. Based in the heart of North Queensland's sugarcane country, you'll lead a tight-knit team, drive sales performance, and become the face of one of Australia's most trusted automotive brands in the local community.
Reporting to the General Manager in Townsville, you'll have full accountability for the branch's success, leading a team across new vehicle sales, parts, and service, while owning the branch's overall financial performance and operations.
This is more than a management role - it's a genuine leadership pathway within the MCG Group. For the right person, this position offers real potential to grow, take on greater responsibility, and shape the future direction of our business. We back leaders who deliver results and build capability in their team.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Actively drive new vehicle sales performance, owning both the strategy and the results at branch level.
* Lead and coach the sales team to hit targets, improve conversion rates, and deliver a best-in-class customer buying experience, leading, inspiring and developing all branch staff to deliver an exceptional customer experience
* Driving new vehicle sales performance and aligning activities to the dealership's broader business plan
* Serving as the face of the business - building and maintaining strong relationships with key community stakeholders
* Monitoring competitor activity and executing local area marketing (LAM) promotions to maximise market share
* Reviewing monthly financial performance with the Group Financial Controller and taking corrective action where needed
* Overseeing aftersales departments (Parts, Service, Pre-Delivery) in partnership with the Fixed Operations Manager
* Managing vehicle inventory ordering and coordinating supply with the Townsville Sales Manager
* Ensuring compliance with OH&S obligations, Australian Consumer Laws, and Toyota Excellence program standards
BE PART OF THE INGHAM COMMUNITY
Ingham is more than just a location - it's a lifestyle. As Branch Manager, you'll be expected to genuinely immerse yourself in the local community, forging meaningful connections with residents, local businesses, sporting clubs, schools, and regional organisations.
This is a role for someone who thrives on being known and trusted in their town, someone who turns up, shows up, and takes pride in representing both Toyota and the broader MCG Group at local events, sponsorships, and community initiatives. The relationships you build outside the dealership are just as important as those you build within it.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Minimum 3 years' automotive or similar industry experience, including P&L responsibility
• Proven sales track record within a dealership environment
• Outstanding leadership and people management skills - you lead by example
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyse and act on performance data
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
DESIRABLE
• Previous experience in a dealership management role
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or a related field
