This is a recruitment pool for 2024 fixed-term appointments of 6, 12, 18, 24, or 36 months, with potential for extension(s). Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 01/09/2025.
Position Profile
If you are interested in providing anaesthetics as part of your rural or remote medical practice, this position offers experience and training to become accredited as a Rural Generalist Anaesthetist. The role is accredited by ANZCA to complete the AC-RGA.
The successful candidate will work at both Busselton and Bunbury Health Campuses, gaining exposure to various areas of anaesthetic practice including Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, and General Surgery.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to rural or remote medicine and will work alongside 16 Consultants and 3 Registrars, with ample opportunity for practical anaesthetic experience. The candidate should be motivated, organized, and adaptable to a flexible working environment.
About the Pool
Joining the Anaesthesia Trainee pool involves submitting one application for consideration at Bunbury and Busselton Hospitals. Applicants will undergo an interview process to assess suitability. The application process will occur in 2-3 rounds until the closing date on Monday, 23 June 2025.
Success Criteria
* Fellow or enrolled in training with RACGP or ACRRM.
* Demonstrated commitment to rural and remote medicine.
* Enrolled in the Rural Generalist Pathway of WA.
