As an Ideanthro Movement Kids Coach, you will predominantly work with children, with additional opportunities to work with adults in the future if you so desire. The children that you work with will include both those with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and neurotypical children (children without a neurological condition such as ASD). You will conduct primarily 1:1 sessions and may sometimes coach small group sessions (up to six individuals). Sessions will occur at our gym in Oxley.
In this special role you will be directly responsible for helping children to develop a love of movement as well as important social and emotional skills, including a growth mindset. You will follow the approach used by Ideanthro Movement head coaches Jack Mullaly and Adrian Bowman to achieve this. It is a unique role and incorporates elements of natural movement, play‐based learning and mentoring. In many respects the improved health and fitness delivered by the program are side‐effects that occur alongside the social and emotional skills developed.
This service is in great demand for local families and, as we are now at capacity, we're looking for another team member to take on new clients. It's a truly rewarding and fulfilling role as you'll be working closely with children on a weekly basis, encouraging them to step outside of their comfort zone and helping them to achieve things they didn't think were possible. You will have the opportunity to see them grow and evolve into more emotionally and physically capable individuals.
In brief this role is a combination of movement and fitness coaching, mentoring, being a role model and more.
