About the Position
As Retail Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our busy Red Rooster restaurant, ensuring smooth workflow, high standards of food quality and customer service, and overall business performance. This key leadership role involves managing a dedicated team, driving sales and profitability, maintaining compliance with all regulations, and fostering a positive environment that keeps both customers and staff coming back.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the restaurant retail outlet to ensure efficiency, product quality, and compliance with company policies and standards.
* Recruit, train, supervise, and roster staff to maintain high levels of performance, productivity, and customer service.
* Coordinate daily activities between front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient service delivery and smooth operational workflow.
* Ensure an excellent customer experience by addressing customer enquiries and complaints and monitoring service quality.
* Manage stock levels, including ordering supplies and coordinating with suppliers to ensure product availability and minimise wastage.
* Monitor sales performance, budgets, and cost control measures to support business profitability and operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
* Implement promotional activities and local marketing initiatives to increase sales and customer engagement.
* Maintain records and prepare operational and sales reports for management review.
* Lead, motivate, and support staff to achieve business goals while maintaining a positive and productive workplace environment.
Requirements
* Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar retail or hospitality management role, preferably in quick-service or fast-food environments.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
* Excellent customer service focus and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
* Sound knowledge of inventory management, budgeting, and cost control.
* Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
* Effective communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
