About the Role
This is a senior, influential OHS role where you’ll lead the Nature Parks health and safety approach end to end. You’ll:
* Be the go‑to expert for all things OHS and risk
* Lead and continuously improve our Health & Safety Management System
* Partner with leaders to identify risks before they become incidents
* Mentor and develop our OHS Coordinator and build safety capability across the organisation
* Investigate complex incidents and turn learnings into meaningful change
* Prepare insightful reports for leaders and the Board
* Balance strategic thinking, hands on support, and strong relationships

About You
You’re an experienced OHS leader who knows how to influence and partner without policing. You’ll bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Risk Management, or similar
* Significant experience in a senior OHS role, ideally in a complex or high risk environment
* Deep knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance, and best practice
* Strong investigation, risk assessment, and reporting skills
* Comfortable executing and operationalising established OHS strategies, with a strong focus on embedding systems, driving consistency, and translating strategic intent into practical, day‑to‑day safety outcomes.
* A practical, solutions focused mindset and genuine care for people

Skills & Experience Required
* Extensive experience in a senior Occupational Health & Safety role, preferably within a complex, multi‑site or high‑risk environment
* Proven ability to lead and continuously improve a Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
* Demonstrated experience conducting and leading complex incident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
* Strong background partnering with leaders to identify, assess and manage workplace risks
* Experience preparing clear, insightful reports for senior leaders and Board or governance committees
* A track record of embedding proactive safety culture, not just compliance
Other Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety
