About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator provides support and clinical development/training to staff while fostering a preceptor/mentor role. The role formulates, coordinates, and evaluates unit based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures. The aim of the position is to use a participation methodology to build:
* The capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidenced based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.
* A patient and family focused culture that supports the NUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change.
* The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery.

Ideal Candidate
* Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* Proven clinical education and leadership experience, or advanced neuroscience nursing background.
* Holds or working towards relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent work experience.
* Experience in education; and care delivery models according to patient/service need.
* Advanced communication and negotiation skills and experience in conflict resolution.
