About This Job
The new Wentworth Point High School (WPHS) is located on Burroway Road, Wentworth Point. The six-level high-rise school opened in 2025 with 160 mainstream Year 7 students, and three Autism (AU) support classes. It will continue a staged roll-out of year groups in subsequent years with a maximum capacity of 1500. The first HSC cohort will be in 2030. The school community is highly diverse, with 87% of students from a language background other than English and a rich mix of talents and learning profiles. WPHS is committed to setting high expectations for learning and behaviour while ensuring students feel known, valued and cared for within a supportive environment. The school's Visual Arts learning spaces are purpose-built and well equipped. They include light-filled studios, a darkroom, two kilns, specialist storage for three-dimensional works, and studios for Visual Design and Photographic and Digital Media courses. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Visual Arts teacher to help shape a growing CAPA faculty from the ground up, contribute to innovative programs, and inspire students from a wide range of cultural and language backgrounds.
