Add expected salary to your profile for insightsTerra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.About the opportunity:The Terra Verde joint venture is currently seeking an Expediting and Logistics Coordinator to join the team. The Expediting & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all material and documentation expediting, along with all in bound logistics activities. They will manage the supervision and completing discipline nominated expediting and logistics activities, within project quality, safety, and environmental management plan guidelines on schedule and within budget.Key Responsibilities:· Promote and ensure that safety and environmental working practises are adhered to. Ensure that Safety and Environmental management systems (procedures, JSA, Method Statements) are followed.· Expediting of documentation and material from the Vendor on executed Purchase Orders.· Management of project logistics, including but not limited to, Inbound International & Domestic Logistics in accordance with project procedures.· Maintenance of logistics tracking records within project systems· Capture of daily delivery dockets, timesheets, diaries, delays, site instructions, photos.· Identify the required resources (manpower, tools, plant, & materials etc) in sufficient time to allow the required acquisition processes to be actioned.· Provide direction and support and promote a team culture which is positive towards Safety, Environmental, Quality, Public Relations, and Industrial Relations. Acknowledge good performance and discipline unacceptable performance / behaviour.· Overall area management of logistics activities including materials, equipment, and subcontractors (when requested). Implement the developed work methods and ensure that the required quality standards are met safely and within the environmental constraints.· In conjunction with project management, identify Safety and Environmental education and training requirements and facilitate the time and opportunity for this. In cooperation with the Site Safety Committee facilitate refresher safety courses where required.Key Requirements:· Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience· Previous experience working in the Construction Industry or a similar role – preferred· Experienced in Strategic logistics and knowledge of the principles of large-scale project activities· Experience in Expediting Documents and Material in a similar role· Management of the projects Expediting platform (WES)· Interfaces with Engineering Leads for document expediting.· Knowledge and experience with contemporary logistics systems· Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works with logistics requirements and managing supplier relationships.· Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide others in the resolution of problem· Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with a proactive adaptable attitude· Sound knowledge of construction materials and subcontract industry and associated logistics· Proven understanding of local and international import / export legislation or requirements· Well-developed time management and problem-solving skillsWhy Join Us?At Terra Verde, we are committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
