Job Title: Senior Network Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Network Specialist, you will work on WAN, LAN, Firewalls, and Wireless technologies, providing technical support for multiple clients in a managed services environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrades of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver technical support for multiple clients in a managed services environment.
* Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless networks, and FortiGate firewalls across customer environments.
* Manage escalations and coordinate with third-party service providers to resolve critical network outages.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers as needed.
* Work closely with clients, system owners, and other service providers as required to manage incidents, service requests, and escalated issues following pre-defined processes accurately.
* Participate in an after-hours on-call roster to support network issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in network operations, including configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrades of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
* Proven experience in analyzing and implementing firewall change requests.
* Familiarity with network management tools such as NNMi, SolarWinds, SCOM, and cPrime.
* Solid understanding of networking principles and their practical application in enterprise environments.
* Working knowledge and experience with Fortinet routers and firewalls.
* Exposure to ITIL frameworks and experience working in ITIL-aligned environments.
* Strong initiative and self-motivation, with excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across all business levels.
