Head Medical is seeking IMT (PGY5+) doctors for Rehabilitation positions in Queensland!
You will be based at Rockhampton Rehabilitation Unit and gain hands‑on experience in rehabilitation medicine, working alongside a multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment.

* Specialist Exposure: Work with in‑patients, day therapy patients, and amputee/post‑rehab follow‑ups under the guidance of a Rehabilitation Staff Specialist.
* Diverse Case Mix: Manage rehabilitation patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, orthopaedic, cardio‑respiratory, renal, musculoskeletal, amputee, spinal injury, and post‑surgical reconditioning cases.
* Salary & Benefits: Total package up to $169,083 p.a (Commensurate with experience)
The Role
Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed referral hospital for Central Queensland, offering comprehensive specialist services including Emergency, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal, Rehabilitation, Psychiatry, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Intensive Care, and Anaesthetics. The hospital collaborates with tertiary centres for advanced care and features a new Cancer Care Unit with state‑of‑the‑art facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for PGY5 doctors seeking exposure to rehabilitation medicine within a dynamic, supportive, and multidisciplinary environment.
Duties include:
* Assist Consultants and Senior Medical Staff in the management of rehabilitation patients with acute and urgent medical issues.
* Provide continuity of care across 16 in‑patient beds, day therapy sessions, and clinic reviews.
* Attend case conferences and family meetings, participating in patient care coordination.
* Supervise, educate, and support doctors in training rotating through the unit.
* Participate in clinics, residential transition care, and emergency department consultations for rehabilitation patients.
