Our client is a fast‐growing engineering company known for quality, innovation, and a strong commitment to their customers within the underground mining industry. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their finance team.
This position is a Monday to Friday full time permanent role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands‐on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities in the role:
* Ensure timely customer invoicing within 24 hours of notification
* Maintain up‐to‐date customer and supplier ageing reports
* Complete month‐end accounting/finance processes
* Maintain and update month‐end procedures
* Perform credit card and statement reconciliations as part of month‐end
* Assist with stock control, including stock administration and stock takes
* Support all departments with the generation of purchase orders and process invoices and remittances accordingly
Experience to be successful:
* Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting
* Proven experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable
* High level of computer literacy
* Strong organisational and analytical abilities
* Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills
* Confident interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone
* Ability to build positive working relationships across all areas of the business
