The Opportunity
As the
Senior Business Development Manager
for our Ashurst Advance and Consulting Division, you will be the driving force in this newly created role, collaborating with key growth leaders, driving impact across our most innovative and high growth offerings in the market.
As a seasoned Business Development leader, you will lead a team to develop and execute the market strategy for our industry leading full-service LegalTech and NewLaw practice as well as our Risk Advisory practice, both of which include a range of offerings and products. Key responsibilities will include:
* As an integral part our Ashurst Advance and Consulting Division and the practices therein, you will work globally across client facing teams to develop an integrated Go to Market strategy that drives growth and recognition.
* AI and Technology integration - champion the adoption and integration of AI tools, automation and data analytics within BD initiatives
* Team leadership - lead an agile BD team to deliver growth, sales management discipline and client, market and BD performance insights.
* Client engagement - build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and industry influencers.
* Opportunity identification - leverage market and competitor insights, client feedback and global trends to identify and qualify new opportunities for NewLaw and Risk Advisory

We are interested in hearing from people with:
* Significant prior business development experience at a leadership level with a focus on professional services, NewLaw and/or Consulting (for the latter, particularly across Risk Advisory); OR
* A qualified legal professional, or someone with experience working in NewLaw/Legal Technology or someone with a consulting background that has a keen interest in business development.
* Demonstrable experience in the application and integration of AI tools, automation and data analytics in BD or client solutions
* Strong commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of BD economics, sales cycles and methodologies
* The presence and credibility to influence at senior levels and evidence of building trust with clients and partners.
