About The Job
As a People Business Partner at Orygen, you'll work as a genuine strategic partner to leaders across designated client groups — translating Orygen's organisational strategy into people outcomes, and bringing the ER/IR expertise, commercial instincts and interpersonal confidence to coach, challenge and influence at every level.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Align people plans with Orygen's strategic direction - working with leaders to identify workforce needs, risks and opportunities that support organisational goals
* Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute practical, commercially grounded people plans
* Manage complex employee relations matters end-to-end, including investigations
* Coach managers to have better conversations on performance, development and wellbeing
* Lead key annual people processes including performance cycles and engagement action planning
* Contribute to a positive, high-performing culture within your client groups
Skills and experience
We're looking for someone who combines deep HR expertise with the qualities that make a genuinely effective business partner.
The Following Criteria Are Essential For Consideration
* Substantial HR Business Partner experience in a complex organisation
* Genuine ER/IR depth and direct experience working with unions
* A track record managing complex employee relations matters from advice through to resolution
* The ability to move between the strategic and operational with ease
* Tertiary qualification in human resources or equivalent
* Experience in health or not-for-profit environments highly regarded
* High level influencing and negotiating skills to steer decisions and actions to achieve a desired outcome and sound judgement and capability to balance risk and commercial outcomes.
* A pro‐active client service approach and demonstrated ability to maintain excellent client relations in a supportive, empathetic and non‐judgmental manner.
* Up to $130,000 base + 12% super
* $15,900 NFP and meals/entertainment salary packaging
* Hybrid working, 3 days onsite at our Parkville office or headspace sites
