The purpose of this position is to provide efficient and responsive financial accounting support to the Financial Director and Head Office team during an exciting growth phase for the Pubs division of the group.
The role is based in South-West Sydney and will be required to work Monday - Friday from 8.30am – 5.00pm daily.

Responsibilities
1. Reconcile and record daily & weekly pub takings.
2. Support Accounts Payable to ensure creditor invoices are authorized, accurately entered, and paid timely.
3. Process payroll accurately according to NES and relevant awards.
4. Maintain employee master files confidentially and promptly.
5. Process payments via banking software and review for accuracy.
6. Maintain and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
7. Reconcile Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements monthly.
8. Prepare monthly P&L analysis reports for key business insights.
9. Prepare annual statutory accounts, workpapers, and tax reconciliations.
10. Prepare Activity Statements (monthly IAS and quarterly BAS).
11. Assist in claiming government subsidies.
12. Maintain internal control systems.
13. Participate in ad hoc projects such as new pub openings or refurbishments.
14. Manage and protect confidential information daily.
Personal Specifications
* 2-3 years supporting a finance team; overall 5+ years accounting experience, preferably in Family Office or Hospitality.
* Qualified or studying for CA or CPA.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills; proficiency in Xero and Light Year is desirable.
* Adaptable to new technology and systems.
* Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
* High emotional intelligence and decision-making ability.
* High work ethic and integrity, handling confidential matters.
* Willing to learn new skills and take on challenges.
* Team-oriented attitude.
