About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Paralegal – Commonwealth Superannuation & DVA Claims
to join our Brisbane team. This role offers genuine responsibility and professional growth within a highly specialised area of law.
In this role you will:
* Assist with DVA compensation claims, appeals and applications;
* Support matters involving Commonwealth superannuation schemes;
* Work on retrospective medical discharge and invalidity matters;
* Prepare, review and manage correspondence, statements and claim documentation;
* Liaise with clients, medical professionals and government departments;
* Support compliance with statutory requirements and internal procedures; and
* Contribute to smooth day-to-day operations of the legal team.
This role provides hands-on exposure to complex legal processes and the chance to develop specialist expertise that is highly regarded in this field.
About You
If the following sounds like you, we would love to hear from you:
* Law student (2nd or 3rd year) or early-career paralegal with relevant experience;
* Highly organised with strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Comfortable working with complex legislation and detailed legal material;
* Professional, empathetic and client-focused in your approach;
* Able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Highly desirable (but not essential):
* Experience with DVA claims or appeals;
* Prior exposure to Commonwealth superannuation or military-related legal matters.
