Role Description
Parkes Shire Council is offering an exciting opportunity for Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets as part of the Fresh Start for Local Government Grant Funded Program. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Civil Construction Apprentice .
CAT Program 2025
The CAT Program provides on‑the‑job training, coaching and mentoring from experienced professionals, with all training and study costs paid for by Council. The program runs from two (2) to eight (8) years in duration, depending on the level of qualification being undertaken.
About You
* Motivated and eager to learn while balancing full‑time work with part‑time study
* Motivated and willing to learn
* Reliable, trustworthy and punctual
* Flexible team player with good communication skills
* Ability to problem‑solve and use self‑initiative
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Good communication, organisational and time management skills
* Have a genuine interest in the role for which you are applying
Licences
* NSW Provisional or Full Driver's Licence
* SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White Card)
