Teaching Opportunity
St. George Christian School is seeking a qualified Secondary Maths and/or Science Teacher to join our educational community.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality teaching programs in Maths and/or Science for students in Stage 6 (advantageous) and other year groups, fostering academic excellence and student growth.
2. Stay current with relevant curriculum programs, ensuring teaching competency and currency of knowledge.
3. Support students' physical, social, cultural, and emotional wellbeing and safety while at school, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Conduct assessments for developmental, feedback, and reporting purposes, providing valuable insights for student progress.
5. Maintain accurate student records and report on student performance to parents, college leadership team, principal, board, and other stakeholders, promoting transparency and accountability.
6. Collaborate in curriculum development, evaluation, and monitoring of the effectiveness of the learning/teaching program, driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
1. A personal Christian commitment and ability to teach with a Christian world view, aligning with our school's values.
2. Demonstrated expertise in delivering quality teaching and learning programs in nominated areas, utilizing current research and evidence-based practices.
3. Effective communication skills, including interpersonal skills and classroom management strategies, to engage students and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
4. A willingness to work collaboratively with parents, college staff, and members of the wider community, building strong relationships and fostering a sense of belonging.
