 
        
        Field Services Technician - Cubic Transportation Systems 
Field Service Technician position providing front line support of Automated Ticketing Systems with a fast response maintenance service to all users across the network. 
Six months fixed term - multiple opportunities available 
Overview 
The Field Service Technician performs scheduled preventative maintenance and remedial maintenance on local/wide area networks; software rollouts; and vandalism call outs to ensure an effective and productive ticketing system operates at its optimum performance level. 
Work is typically under general supervision and direction. 
Responsibilities 
- Interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders 
- Perform varied technical duties involving remedial and preventative maintenance of customer equipment and assets on fixed or mobile assets 
- Apply specialised technical knowledge to solve difficult or complex situations 
- Operate diagnostic systems to debug and isolate complex faults to component level 
- Resolve complex/critical failure situations 
- Report potential non-conformances or problems to supervisors or responsible personnel 
- Follow specific verbal/written instructions relating to work assignments 
- Be responsible for quality of work performed 
- Maintain service records or reports in accordance with company procedures 
- Resolve verbal and written customer technical enquiries 
- Maximize productive output by efficient use of time and materials 
- Provide new system installation and system upgrades 
- Suggest ways of improving methods and procedures to meet quality policy objectives 
- Report all WHSE incidents, potential hazards, near misses and accidents 
General responsibilities

- Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures 
- Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures 
- Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures 
- Other duties as requested 
Qualifications 
- Basic Electronics Training 
- WH&S; general induction card 
- RIW card (Rail Induction Worker) for fixed asset workers only
