Financial Leadership Opportunity
The City seeks a seasoned financial leader to serve as its Director of Finance. As a key member of the City Management team, this role will provide strategic guidance and oversight for all financial operations.
This position requires expertise in governmental budgeting, accounting, auditing, and financial reporting, as well as a proven track record of implementing effective fiscal policies and internal controls.
* Develop and implement financial goals, policies, and procedures that align with the City's mission and long-term strategic plan.
* Provide sound financial guidance to the City Manager, City Council, and department heads on fiscal issues, budget priorities, and long-range planning.
* Direct the preparation, implementation, and administration of the City's annual operating and capital budgets.
* Conduct financial forecasting and long-range planning to ensure the City's financial stability and sustainability.
* Manage investments, purchasing policies, and treasury functions to optimize financial returns and minimize risk.
* Prepare and present financial information and reports to city leadership, City Council, boards, and public stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws along with governmental accounting standards including GAAP and GASB.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for the City's independent auditors and manage the annual audit process.
