About the role
As a Payroll Manager at Capri Holdings', you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for two brands across both Australia and New Zealand with approx. 300 team members (comprised of both frontline and corporate).
This is a full-time position however part time will be considered for the right candidate.
What you'll be doing
* Handle end-to-end fortnightly payroll for AU & NZ: new starters, changes, terminations, back-pay, deductions, allowances, and on/off-cycle runs
* Maintain payroll data integrity (i.e. timesheets/T&A imports, leave reconciliation, exception handling, and approvals)
* Ensure compliance & reporting of STP Phase 2 lodgements, superannuation, PAYG, long service leave, payroll tax in Australia and IRD payday filing, KiwiSaver, ACC levies, Holidays Act 2003 leave calculations for New Zealand
* Interpret and compliance to General Retail Industry Awards (Retail/General Retail, penalties, loadings, overtime)
* Perform month-end payroll journals, GL reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, and audit packs
* Manage enquiries from third parties, i.e. ATO/IRD queries, super/KiwiSaver providers, external auditors
* Assist in ad hoc tasks and other HR related projects as assigned
What we're looking for
* Bachelors degree holder in Human Resources Management or related discipline
* 8 years payroll experience ideally in a sole-charge or small-team environments
* Proven AU & NZ payroll processing and compliance exposure
* Working knowledge of STP Phase 2, superannuation, NZ payday filing, Holidays Act leave types and calculations
* Confidence with award/EA interpretation in retail (penalty rates, loadings, allowances, meal breaks, overtime)
* Solid Excel skills (lookups, pivots), and experience with a mainstream payroll/HRIS and time & attendance integration (e.g., Deputy, Workday, Affinity, iChris, Employment Hero etc.)
