As one of Australia's leading suppliers of specialist electrical equipment and services to Australia's power utility, rail and mining sector, we have a requirement for an enthusiastic professional technical sales representative to build relationships with customers and potential customers and help achieve long-term objectives.
Currently we are seeking to fill a position with the following duties;
- Regular visits to existing and prospective client businesses to establish and develop new selling opportunities.
- Presenting, recommending and explaining to customers the ADAPT Australia product and services portfolio.
- Monitoring customer requirements and market changes, in addition to the movements of competitors and their activity and reporting these to the ADAPT sales management team.
- Quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms.
- Completing contracts and tracking/recording of orders.
- Arranging delivery of goods, installation of equipment and the provision of services, including product training when required.
- Reporting to ADAPT sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services in your region.
- Following up with clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased and resolving any problems arising.
- Preparing sales reports, maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurred.
- Liaising with global suppliers to ensure offers meet with Australian specifications.
The person will need to demonstrate strong technical skills in the area of electrical power distribution, with a minimum of 5 years sales and technical product support experience. A sound knowledge of medium voltage switchgear and cable installation & jointing techniques is necessary. Knowledge of medium voltage switchgear and automation will be highly desirable, particularly of the Lucy Electric brand.
An engineering degree or technical qualification in a related field would also be desirable but not essential
Pay: Up to $200,000.00 per year
